Cheers

$40 for priority mail. He did offer $20 for a slower postage service but I wanted the quicker one.

I really recommend emailing the guy if you want to order one though as the website only has one postage option which is much more expensive. Also he said he's willing to do a discount on bulk orders to offset the cost of international shipping. Here's his website: http://www.thefieldwerks.com/

Ralph

Thanks, I've had a look at his website before but I didn't know of anyone who had ordered from him.

Was going to order from SnS but they were out of stock at the time and unfortunately didn't get a reply when I asked when they would be. Looks good and I'd love to see if it's much different from the field werks knife. Looks like the blade is thicker for starters.

Ralph

I would ask how rigid it is. I bought a bayonet for my M1 that has the same consistency as a slice of that orange "cheese" that is oft found on cheap burgers. A friends K98 bayonet was the same. I dremelled that out to put a hacksaw blade inside to give it some dignity.

Tin, are you talking about Shoot and Scoot's or Fieldwerks' products?

Must admit my Shoot and Scoot no4 bayonet is about as rigid as a soggy biscuit, and that's in the house with no wind!

Mine has become more rigid over time, but I've had it a few years. Unfortunately the socket section has now split.

Cheers
Martin

You're welcome to have mine. It's just gathering dust and I have no intention of using it now I have my knife.

Chuck up a picture when you've fitted them, I'd love to see your Bonnie.

It's a phone case, test fitted for next year's touring adventures, it's a RAM mount so it comes off lickety split.

Very nice! They don't look out of place on her.

Sigh, or maybe not, turns out it was out of stock but they had taken my order anyway. :-( if only British suppliers had been bothered to order these in they'd have cleaned up.

Thanks, that is very kind. Yes, I'll pick it up at Iskra or Loose Cannon.

Meanwhile, my Black Watch kilt has arrived in time for King Zog. A certain amount of domestic hilarity ensued as I insisted on making tea while wearing it last night.

Cheers
